While DeKalb County can only provide the most basic of necessities for our students and educators, and other funding sources have limitations on how they can be spent, the Eagle Fund gives us the most flexibility to direct our resources to our school’s unique needs.

Past Eagle Fund accomplishments include:

Professional grade turf on the playground and new playground equipment
Covered walkway over carpool and amphitheater seating
Digital sign at the front of the school
New outdoor picnic tables
The existing lunchroom tables with seating

But did you know that the Eagle Fund also provides:

Eureka Math materials when it was determined that our students’ performance levels were not being met by DeKalb-provided resources
Counselor’s Fund to discreetly provide meals and grocery gift cards to families with immediate needs
Scholarships for students that cannot afford field trips
Ongoing classroom support as needs arise such as bookcases, rugs, books, and other supplies and materials as requested by teachers
Continuing education for our teachers and staff
Teacher appreciation and retention events
Heggerty phonics curriculum for students in K - 2. Research has shown that phonics based early reading curriculum is more impactful than alternatives provided by DeKalb
Ongoing maintenance and landscaping for our facilities in addition to what is provided by DeKalb
